Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is understood to be considering a £5million swoop for highly rated Besiktas midfielder Matias Delgado. »Comments (2) Print This Story Send To A Friend Contact Us galleria zoom Argentine international midfielder Matias Delgado has just over one year left to run on his existing contract with Besiktas in Turkey, and is said to be available for sale around the £5million mark. However, Wenger can expect competition for the player. Premier League rivals Middlesbrough and Everton are also said to be keen on the 25-year-old Argentine - and all three English clubs will find themselves competing with Primera Liga sides Valencia and Villarreal, who have also shown interest. Delgado is believed to prefer a move to a club that is challenging for the Champions League, which would appear to give Arsenal an advantage over their Premiership rivals.
